We’ve finally arrived, dear readers, the end of The Acolyte — a confusing one, to be sure, but at least our watch is over. I’m not sure what I just saw; suffice it to say that, just when I thought the show couldn’t get any dumber, The Acolyte Episode 8 more or less hammers the final nail into the coffin of this utterly insane Star Wars series.
ACOLYTE Episode 8 BREAKDOWN – All STAR WARS Easter Eggs and ENDING EXPLAINED!
Anyway, let’s get to the final episode. There’s little to summarize, because like so many chapters in this unnecessarily long-winded series, nothing happens during the painfully slow 40-minute running time. Characters move from one place to another, like lines, and occasionally hit each other with shiny sticks. When I think of The Acolyte Episode 8, I want to curl up in a ball and sleep for the next two decades.
The Acolyte Episode 8 opens with Osha, wrapped in Qimir’s metal hood. She senses her sister, Mae, murdering Sol and decides to try to stop her. Qimir, suddenly an ally despite having murdered a group of Jedi the day before, goes along.
Meanwhile, Sol tells Mae exactly what she already knew: that he accidentally killed her mother while transforming her into a demonic vampire. Mae has no sympathy for this foolish man. She breaks her bonds and escapes! Damn, just when Sol was about to tell her something important.
