Stranger Things season 5 is one of the most anticipated projects scheduled for 2025 as it was announced that it will be the final season of the popular Netflix series.
Stranger Things Season 5: Duffers Motivated to Avoid Game of Thrones Ending Comparisons
The hugely popular series, which originally premiered in 2016, has broken numerous Netflix viewership records and has already seen a long gap between the end of the fourth season, which concluded in July 2022, and the start of season 5. Recently, one of the show's editors, Dean Zimmerman, explained how the show's creators, the Duffer Brothers, conceived of the ending to avoid a surprise similar to the Game of Thrones finale.
Editor Dean Zimmerman recently spoke with Screen Rant about his work on Marvel's Deadpool & Wolverine. During the chat, Zimmerman also touched on what Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers have planned for the end of Stranger Things season 5.
Speaking about Stranger Things season 5, Zimmerman said that things are "well underway" and that the scope of the season is "going to be bigger than anyone could ever imagine." Zimmerman also had nothing but praise for creators Matt and Ross Duffer, saying, "It always amazes me how insanely brilliant the Duffer brothers are [at] coming up with new and crazier ways to do this."
