Sunny Episode 5 has started streaming and viewers are eager to know where Sunny goes at the end of the episode. The Apple TV Plus sci-fi dark comedy mystery series centers on Suzie, a woman who, while grieving for her apparently deceased husband and son, discovers that her husband has been dishonest about his job. In episode 5, the story continues to bounce between the present and Suzie’s life with Masa and their son. Suzie recalls a day when Masa arrived late and drunk to one of Zen’s school performances. In the present, while trying to get to Mixxy’s uncle’s house in the Japanese countryside, Suzie, Mixxy, and Sunny get lost.

The focus of Sunny's fifth episode seems to be on motherhood. Suzie reflects on how Masa was often evasive and chides herself for not realizing sooner that he was hiding things from her. This leads to a deep sense of guilt as she feels she shouldn't have let Zen get on that flight with Masa. Meanwhile, Noriko deals with her grief over losing Masa in her own way, and Sunny forms an unexpected bond with a crow chick after rescuing it from the forest where she, Suzie, and Mixxy were lost. She later reveals that she took in the young crow chick in order to understand Suzie. When the bird dies despite Sunny's best efforts, her bond with Suzie grows stronger.

Towards the end of the episode, Sunny remembers that Masa wanted to take her somewhere on the day of Zen's performance. In her dream, Suzie relives that night. She turns to Masa and demands to know where he was, something she hadn't done in the real world. When she wakes up, Sunny is gone. It's implied that Hime was there and that she took the robot, just as she took all of Masa and Zen's things from Suzie's house.
