Exclusive Sneak Peek: Death Of Superman | SYFY WIRE
Sources tell Deadline that a female Teamster who worked on the James Gunn-directed Superman was the employee who committed suicide Wednesday at Trilith Studios near Atlanta.
As we reported yesterday, officers and medical personnel responded to a report of an "unconscious adult contractor" in a vehicle on the studio's property around 6:47 a.m. Wednesday, according to a police statement. The person was found dead by a apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Police said there is no evidence of foul play and the investigation is not connected to any ongoing studio projects.
The vehicle was in the crew parking lot. We're told no filming was taking place at the time of the shooting, which took place at night. Sources say that once the crew learned what had happened, director James Gunn told everyone called a meeting to inform them that counselors would be available if they were needed and told them that production would stop for the day and sent everyone home. Filming resumed today.
