James Gunn has confirmed on social media that filming has wrapped on his Superman film starring David Corenswet.
HUGE details and theories emerging from James Gunn's SUPERMAN filming
A few weeks ago, Gunn confirmed that there would be a few more weeks of filming for the latest version of the Man of Steel. Filming in Cleveland had just wrapped. And here we are, true to his word.
"And that's it. God bless our cast and crew, whose dedication, creativity and hard work brought this project to life. I wanted to make a film about a good man in a world that isn't always so great," Gunn wrote. "And the goodness, kindness and love I encountered on set every day inspired me and pushed me forward when I felt too exhausted to go on alone. I want to thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart. It was an honor. The destination was Superman, but the journey was the effort, the laughter, the emotions, the ideas and the magic we shared on set together – and for that I am eternally grateful."
Formerly known as Superman Legacy, Gunn's Superman looks set to truly usher in a new era of DC films under his leadership. A messy, fractured decade or so had left the DCU in need of a refresh, and there have been some major changes since Gunn was brought on board.
