James Gunn provided a new Superman update as the cast and crew of the upcoming DC Universe film celebrated the completion of filming in Cleveland last week.
HUGE details and theories emerging from James Gunn's SUPERMAN filming
Gunn shared a series of photos and kind words for the city of Cleveland on social media platform Threads on Wednesday. In the posts, Gunn called the city a "special place" and praised the city's background actors for reminding him why they make movies in the first place.
"The great background actors in the film were always so fun and funny and they clapped after the shoot, reminding us Hollywood cynics why we make movies in the first place," Gunn said in his post. "The pride you feel in being where Jerry and Joe first created Superman was invigorating. You embody his spirit. But it's just as much the pride you have in your community, your hometown, your radio stations and restaurants and hangouts that touched me."
In a response to some fans, Gunn was quick to point out that filming for the project had not yet wrapped. Instead, filming for the city of Cleveland had just wrapped, with more production to go on for the "long shoot."
