It’s time to outsmart, outplay and outlast again. TV’s groundbreaking reality competition series returns to CBS in September, and the network has revealed the cast of Survivor Season 47 that will grace our screens for the premiere.

Survivor Season 47 premieres on Wednesday, September 18 at 8 p.m. ET, with 18 new castaways vying for the title of Sole Survivor and a $1 million prize. Among them is a familiar face: Jon Lovett, host of the podcast Lovett or Leave It and former speechwriter for President Barack Obama.
Other cast members include a flight school owner, an emergency room doctor and an assistant researcher in artificial intelligence.
The competition will last 26 days, as is customary in the new era, and will be packed with physical and mental challenges designed to push players to their limits as they try to stay fed and fit on a remote island in Fiji. The contestants will be divided into three tribes of six and will face what CBS calls "a season of surprises from the moment they step onto the beach."
