SWAT is saying goodbye to one of its own characters, and the character has certainly come a long way. In fact, the promo for the March 8 episodes — airing back-to-back, starting at 8/7c — emphasizes just that.
Final scene 😭 Street leaves the show – SWAT 7×05
It's "One Final Farewell," reveals the video, which you can watch above. "I never thought the one I had to shoot down would be the one that would be the hardest to say goodbye to," Hondo (Shemar Moore) tells Street (Alex Russell). The second of the two episodes is Russell's last.
For the final season of SWAT, Russell and Kenny Johnson (who plays Luca) are no longer regulars (notably absent from the opening credits). Their absence was explained on-screen in the second episode, in a conversation between Tan (David Lim) and Deacon (Jay Harrington). Street is with Long Beach SWAT (and has been given the nickname Hollywood) and is training them to get in shape. Luca is undergoing counterterrorism training in London (and enjoying the nightlife).
Now, the second episode airing March 8 brings Street back to his team. But first, on “Spare Parts” at 8/7c, SWAT hunts a Chilean arms dealer after he kidnaps a woman and her daughter from an L.A. party with unexpected intentions. Tan crosses paths with his brother and is forced to come clean to his family about his divorce from Bonnie. Plus, Hondo learns that Hicks (Patrick St. Esprit) has been offered a job that could lure him away from SWAT.
