SWAT just said goodbye to one original cast member—Alex Russell’s Street has been reassigned to Long Beach—and is about to do the same with another, albeit in potentially tragic fashion. Kenny Johnson’s final episode is the seventh of the season, airing April 5, and things don’t look good for Luca—at least in the promo.
SWAT Season 7 Episode 7 Sneak Peak: Will Luca Die in Kenny Johnson's Final Episode?
Due to March Madness, there will be no new episodes of SWAT for two weeks (March 22nd and 29th), but thankfully CBS not only released a promo, but also photos from the upcoming one. Considering the last episode ended with Luca getting shot multiple times, including in the chest!, when he witnessed a mugging while he was off duty, we'll take whatever we can get to get an idea of what's to come.
The video preview for the April 5 episode, "Last Call," shows the team worrying about Luca's fate. "He's fighting for his life," Hondo (Shemar Moore) says. With one of the bullets hitting his heart, there's a chance he won't make it. And yes, the promo, which you can watch above, appears to show SWAT gathered to salute a fallen officer, but these previews can be misleading.
In fact, the photos (which have been updated since this post was originally published on March 22) show Luca alive and well, and at the aforementioned meeting. But what's going on? Is he getting a medal for trying to stop that robbery?
