Lionsgate has tapped Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried to star in the planned film adaptation of Freida McFadden's best-selling novel The Housemaid, with Paul Feig directing.
The upcoming thriller hails from Hidden Pictures and Feigco Entertainment and is produced by Hidden Pictures' Todd Lieberman and Feigco's Feig and Laura Fischer. In addition to starring, Sweeney and Seyfried will also serve as executive producers on the film, along with Alex Young and the book's author McFadden.
Feig will direct the film from a screenplay by Rebecca Sonnenshine.
