Halfway through Tate McRae's sold-out performance at Madison Square Garden, the singer took a break from her dance routine, sat down on stage and addressed the audience.

"Playing this venue is one of my biggest dreams in the world," she said emotionally. "I know many of you have been here for so long — since I was 13 years old. I love you more than anything and that's what makes this such a special show for me."
But MSG is the self-proclaimed “most famous arena in the world,” and performers often have something special up their sleeve. A surprise guest had been hinted at on social media in the days leading up to the show, and moments before McRae took the stage, the crowd roared as they recognized rapper Kid Laroi, the singer’s boyfriend, walking to his seat in a back center section.
