Chappell Roan's "The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess" remains one of the year's pop phenomena, reaching a new peak of No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in results released Sunday. The album chart, however, continues to be dominated by Taylor Swift's "The Tortured Poets Department," which reached No. 1 for a 15th nonconsecutive week.
Swift’s album remained at the top with 85,000 equivalent album units, down 40% from the previous week, according to Luminate data first reported by Billboard. Roan’s hugely popular freshman album jumped one spot to second place, selling 72,000 units, up 13% and her best weekly tally to date.
