Feeding America thanked the 14-time Grammy winner on Wednesday for donating $5 million to the organization's hurricane relief efforts in Florida, the Carolinas, Georgia and Tennessee as the massive Category 3 storm approaches.
"We are incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift for her generous $5 million donation to Hurricane Helene and Milton relief efforts," Feeding America CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot said in a statement. "This contribution will help communities rebuild and recover by providing essential food, clean water and supplies to those impacted by these devastating storms. Together, we can make a real impact by supporting families as they navigate the challenges ahead. Thank you, Taylor, for joining us in the movement to end hunger and help communities in need."
Since Helene made landfall, Feeding America has sent more than 140 truckloads of food, water and other supplies to 11 food banks.
