Taylor Swift has released a statement following the tragic incident that took place in Southport, UK yesterday, where a number of children were stabbed during a Taylor Swift-themed dance class.

The superstar, who recently toured the UK, posted on Instagram that "the horror of yesterday's attack continues to wash over me and I am just in complete shock."

A 17-year-old man has been arrested following the incident, which has left three people dead. Five children and two adults remain in critical condition following the fatal stabbing, which witnesses have described as being like something out of a horror movie. The stabbings occurred during a Swift dance class yesterday morning.
