The Acolyte Episode 8 BREAKDOWN – Spoilers! Easter Eggs! Ending Explained!
Here's everything you need to know about what happens at the end of Star Wars: The Acolyte.
The ending of Acolyte Episode 8 takes place on Brendok, 16 years after the coven that Mae and Osha belonged to was nearly wiped out. Sol and the Stranger engage in a fierce battle, with Sol emerging victorious. However, Mae intervenes and tells Sol that he must confess his crimes before the High Council, the Senate, and the Republic, prompting Sol to reveal the truth about Osha and Mae's births. He explains that they are one person, likely created through Force Vergence, and not born, implying that the coven drew on the Dark Side of the Force to create them.
After learning that Sol murdered her mother, Osha strangles and kills Sol, turning her into a Sith. Her lightsaber begins to glow red and she leaves Brendok with Qimir. Mae stays behind and after an emotional goodbye to Osha, she has Qimir erase her memories of the fire on Brendok and her sister. They know that the Jedi will come for Qimir and Osha with Mae. This assumption is proven correct when Vernestra asks Mae for help in tracking down her former ward, known to the viewers as the Stranger/Qimir.
