2024 Emmy Nominations: See the Surprises and Nominees
As this morning's Emmy nominations prove, while there may be less television being made these days, the quality certainly hasn't declined with the quantity.
As widely expected, The Bear, Baby Reindeer, True Detective: Night Country and Shogun were mentioned more than once by former Emmy winners Sheryl Lee Ralph and Tony Hale on Wednesday morning. As Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego put it, “it’s been an extraordinary year for television.” It certainly seemed unusual that for the first time in a long time, Succession and Ted Lasso weren’t mentioned when the nominations were read out, as those multiple winners have wrapped up their runs.
