Eric Kripke announces the beginning of the end and he goes out with a bang.

The creator of The Boys has warned fans that there will “probably be a lot of death” in the upcoming fifth and final season of the Prime Video series, which is currently in development after a record-breaking fourth season.

"There's no guarantee who's going to survive, because we don't have to keep them for another season, so you can have really shocking, big things happening all the time," Kripke told Total Film. "And so, as writers, as we start to cook it up, we're really enjoying that."

He added that the pressure is on to give fans a happy ending after he announced in June that the show would end after five seasons, which he said was "always my plan."
