Jessie Prez (Griselda, Abbott Elementary) and Dougie Baldwin (Nowhere Boys) have officially been selected to join the cast of Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage for CBS's upcoming Young Sheldon spinoff series.

Prez and Baldwin will play the series regular roles of Ruben and Connor. Baldwin will replace Joe Apollonio, who originally played the character in the original series during its sixth season. Their official character descriptions are below:
Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage will be led by Montana Jordan and Emily Osment. Their titular characters got married during the final season of Young Sheldon . The spinoff will also feature returning Young Sheldon stars Zoe Perry, Annie Potts, Raegan Revord, Will Sasso and Rachel Bay Jones. Perry's Mary Cooper, Potts' Meemaw and Revord's Missy Cooper are set to guest star, while Mandy's parents Jim (Sasso) and Audrey (Jones) are tipped as series regulars.
The spinoff is created and executive produced by Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro and Steve Holland. It will continue the story of Georgie and Mandy as they raise their young family in Texas, while navigating the challenges of adulthood, parenthood and marriage. It is a production of Warner Bros. Television. It is scheduled to premiere on Thursday, October 17, as part of the 2024-2025 CBS broadcast season.
