The Crown had the most Emmy nominations of any series that ended its run this past year, whether canceled or not. It topped the list of Best Drama nominees with a total of 18 nominations for its final season, which aired in two parts in November and December of last year.

In addition to further nominations for Best Leading Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor (x2) and Best Guest Starring Role, The Crown was recognised for its production design, casting, cinematography (x2), contemporary costumes, direction, period and fantasy/sci-fi make-up (no prosthetics), original score, sound mixing, special visual effects and screenplay.
HBO's Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty came in second with five nominations, while Larry David's long-running improvised comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm nabbed four nominations, including in Outstanding Comedy and Comedy Actor, following its finale in May.
