The comedian came out as a fan of Chappell Roan and referenced her 2020 hit single “Pink Pony Club” during his monologue, indicating how bleak the presidential options looked before President Joe Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed Kamala Harris.
“We literally have three choices as Democrats: you vote for Donald Trump, you vote for Joe Biden, or you stay on the couch,” one commentator said, to which Stewart joked, “I think we know which of those options J.D. Vance would choose. Even I don’t feel comfortable with that joke.”
"What do I know, a simple Pink Pony Grandpop? Let me explain quickly, that's a reference to the fact that I'm a Chappell Roan fan, which I absolutely am," Stewart said, noting that "young people come here."
