Season 2 of The House of the Dragon had a strong ending.
House Of The Dragon Fans Are Not Holding Back About Season 2's Finale
Sunday night’s finale drew 8.9 million viewers across HBO and digital platforms, the network announced Monday. That’s a season-high for audience, up 14 percent from the 7.8 million seen in the Season 2 premiere.
However, it's still lower than the Season 1 premiere, which drew more than 9 million viewers. At the time, it was HBO's biggest finale night for one of its series since Game of Thrones concluded in May 2019. That's apparently still the case, even two years later.
Season 2 has lost some of its audience overall compared to Season 1, as the premiere saw an audience drop of about 22%. However, the series has managed to regain some of its audience over the course of the season, as evidenced by the growth from premiere to finale.
