NBC has moved the Season 2 premiere of The Irrational from October 1 to Tuesday, October 8 due to the recently rescheduled vice presidential debate between Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) and Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), hosted by CBS News.
The season 2 premiere of the crime series will air on October 8 at 10 p.m., preceded by a two-hour episode of The Voice starting at 8 p.m.
Written by Arika Lisanne Mittman, The Irrational, starring Jesse L. Martin, is based on Dan Ariely’s best-selling novel Predictably Irrational. It follows world-renowned behavioral science professor Alec Mercer (Martin) as he lends his unique expertise to high-stakes cases and mysteries. His insight and unconventional approach to understanding human behavior leads him to work with a variety of clients, ranging from the FBI to everyday people caught in perplexing situations who are desperate for answers.
