If you were looking forward to checking out The Librarians: The Next Chapter this fall, you’ll have to wait a little longer. The Librarians spinoff, which was set to premiere on The CW on October 24, has been put on indefinite hold, Deadline has confirmed.

The news follows the CW’s announcement of a new unscripted series The Wranglers , which follows the personal and professional lives of young staff members working at the Circle Bar Dude Ranch in Montana. The series will premiere in The Next Chapter’s previous timeslot on Thursdays at 9 p.m. beginning Oct. 24.

From writer and executive producer Dean Devlin, The Librarians: The Next Chapter is a spin-off of the original TV series The Librarians, which followed the adventures of the keepers of a magical repository of the world’s most powerful and dangerous supernatural artifacts. The new series centers on a “Librarian” (McGowan) from the past who time-travels to the present and finds himself trapped there. When he returns to his castle, now a museum, he inadvertently unleashes magic on the continent. He recruits a new team to help him clean up the mess he’s made, and forms a new team of Librarians.
