Apple TV+ Emmy Award-winning series The Morning Show has added Emmy and Tony Award nominee William Jackson Harper (Love Life, The Good Place) to its growing cast for Season 4 in a key recurring role. He will play “Ben,” the network’s confident and innovative Head of Sports.
William Jackson Harper Talks 'The Good Place' Season Finale
The Morning Show explores the cutthroat world of morning news and the lives of the people who wake America up in the morning. Season 3 left UBA’s fate once again in limbo after Alex (Jennifer Aniston) manages to bring down Paul Marks (Jon Hamm) by blocking the sale of UBA to his tech company, Hyperion. But now it looks like UBA will merge with another media company to keep the network afloat, which could mean layoffs and restructuring in Season 4.
Reese Witherspoon, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee and Nicole Beharie also star. Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons and Aaron Pierre make their debuts alongside Harper in Season 4.
The show's third season was recently nominated for 16 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series. The series also received 10 acting nominations — the most for a drama series this year — with Aniston, Witherspoon, Beharie, Pittman, Lee, Crudup, Duplass, Hamm, Holland Taylor and Marcia Gay Harden all being recognized for their performances.
