Queen Elizabeth I is coming to visit in The Serpent Queen Season 2, and TV Insider has an exclusive first look at Minnie Driver as the infamous Virgin Queen opposite Samantha Morton's Catherine de Medici in the edgy Starz drama. Catherine is "willing to do anything" to maintain her power in the teaser above. "And you?" she asks. The second season of the lavish drama returns in summer 2024.

The Serpent Queen tells the story of Catherine de Medici (Morton) who, against all odds, becomes one of the most powerful and longest-reigning rulers in French history. "The original bad b*tch is back," the teaser reads. And this time, Catherine has a deliciously evil rival at court in Driver's Elizabeth.
Joining Morton in the cast are Danny Kirrane, Ray Panthaki, Raza Jaffrey, Enzo Cilenti, Amrita Acharia, Ruby Bentall, Beth Goddard, Ludivine Sagnier, Nicholas Burns and Rupert Everett. Angus Imrie, Emma McDonald, Stanley Morgan and Philippine Velge are series regulars in Season 2. McDonald will play Rahima in the new episodes, a role previously played by Sennia Nanua.
Returning cast includes Rosalie Craig, Isobel Jesper Jones, Bill Milner, Ashley Thomas and Alexandre Willaume.
