President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday praised the Philippine National Police (PNP) for conducting lawful, humane and bloodless police operations in a bid to eradicate crime.

During his speech marking the 123rd anniversary of the police service, Marcos acknowledged the police's determination to maintain peace, security and harmony throughout the country.
Marcos praised the leadership of PNP leader Gen. Rommel Marbil, saying “remarkable reforms and achievements” had been achieved in recent months.
“Our response to illicit drugs, smuggling, illegal gambling, private armed groups, human trafficking and crime has also been significantly strengthened, in ways that are not only effective but also legal and lawful,” Marcos said.
