A new festival called Worlds Away, featuring Tiesto, the Chainsmokers, Lauv and more, will take place on October 12 at the historic Monterey County Fairgrounds, home of the legendary 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, event producers Pendulum have announced. Other performers include R3HAB, Sam Feldt, Lost Kings and Ayokay, with more to be announced.

According to the announcement, the inaugural festival is "more than just an event; it is a movement that celebrates the enduring power of art to transcend boundaries and connect people from all walks of life, honoring Monterey's rich cultural legacy while paving the way for the future of festivals. The inaugural event will transport 'travelers' (Worlds Away attendees) to an entirely different world, using cutting-edge technological innovation, never-before-seen immersive art installations, spectacular light shows and performances from an incredible lineup of multi-platinum and Grammy Award-winning music acts."

General ticket sales start on August 16th and pre-sales start on August 14th.
