After giving her several chances, a panel of prosecutors denied suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo the opportunity to file a counter-affidavit to refute the qualified human trafficking complaint against her.

“Mayor Alice Guo is conducting a preliminary investigation,” Department of Justice (DOJ) Assistant Secretary Jose Dominic Clavano IV said Tuesday (Aug. 6).
“Today is the deadline for Mayor Alice Guo to file her counter-statement,” he stressed.
Guo and 14 other people are facing charges of human trafficking for their involvement in the illegal activities of the Zun Yuan Technology Center, which was raided on March 13 in Bamban.
