Tobias Menzies on Preparing for You Hurt My Feelings
The Emmy winner adds another period piece to his lengthy resume with Apple TV+’s Manhunt, a brand-new series chronicling the frantic hunt for John Wilkes Booth after he assassinated President Abraham Lincoln. Menzies stars on the series as Edwin Stanton, whose close bond with the fallen Lincoln (Midnight Mass’s Hamish Linklater) is revealed in flashbacks throughout the season.
Menzies has appeared in numerous period dramas over the years. His most recent and well-known period dramas include Prince Philip in The Crown and Black Jack Randall and Frank Randall in Outlander. Menzies told TV Insider that Edwin Stanton fits into his history of playing "deeply complex and conflicted" characters. That theme is evident in his performances, which are listed below.
