CALAMBA – Senator Francis Tolentino led the commemoration of the 162nd birth anniversary of the country's national hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal, in Calamba City, Laguna on Monday.

According to Tolentino, Rizal's lessons and legacy should be an inspiration to current and future generations so that they can strive for change for the better.
“Hindi lamang tayo dapat maging mga tagapagmana ng kanyang mga sulatin, kundi dapat din tayong maging mga tagapagtatag ng pagbabago,” Tolentino said in a statement.
“I think I got a lot of inspiration from Dr. Jose Rizal’s kabayanihan, and I can get inspiration from watching more experiences. I think I’m a hangarin and a big pangarap and went to eat Rizal,” he added.
