Tom Blyth and Emily Bader to Star in 'People We Meet On Vacation' Film Adaptation | THR News
EXCLUSIVE: Tom Blyth and Emily Bader are set to star in the upcoming film adaptation of People We Meet On Vacation from 3000 Pictures and Netflix. The film is based on Emily Henry's New York Times bestseller and marks the first film adaptation from bestselling author Emily Henry to enter production goes. Brett Haley directs.
Temple Hill's Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey and Isaac Klausner are producing. Temple Hill's Laura Quicksilver is serving as executive producer. Erin Siminoff is overseeing the project for the studio. The film is being produced under a partnership that sees Sony Pictures give Netflix a first look at all the films which it plans to make for streaming.
The film follows free-spirited Poppy and routine-loving Alex, who have been unlikely best friends for ten years, living in different cities but spending every summer vacation together. The careful balance of their friendship is tested when they begin to question what is clear to everyone: could they actually be the perfect romantic match?
