Tom Holland greets enthusiastic fans after performance of 'Romeo & Juliet' in the theater
UPDATED with precise wording of World Culture Film Festival award categories. Actor Tom Holland and Oscar-nominated filmmaker Pawo Choyning Dorji were among the award winners as the World Culture Film Festival wrapped up its inaugural edition in Los Angeles.
Holland's short film Last Call, directed by his brother Harry, screened Saturday at the festival, a four-day event that describes its mission as showcasing "entertainment that uplifts." He was honored with the WCFF Legacy Award For Performing Arts (sadly, for those hoping to see Holland and perhaps girlfriend Zendaya, the actor was unable to accept the award in person). See the full list of awards below.
On behalf of Holland, the award was accepted by Palak Patel, EVP of Sony Pictures Entertainment. He told the audience of the award show that he has known the 28-year-old star for quite some time.
