"The Boys" star Tomer Capone is set to play a lovestruck suitor in a new romantic comedy series from Keshet International titled "Save the Date," Variety has learned.
Starring comedian and "Dancing With the Stars (Israel)" winner Adi Havshush, "Save the Date" follows Dassy, a wedding planner who finds herself in a relationship slump after her longtime partner makes a shocking revelation. Turning to her grandmother for solace, Dassy reluctantly agrees to participate in an age-old spell to summon her one true love — but instead of one, her overzealous bubbie summons four suitors bent on winning Dassy's heart.
“With a high-stakes wedding to plan for her high school nemesis in just two weeks, Dassy must navigate the romantic chaos and decide which man – if any – will lead her to her own happy ending,” reads the synopsis for the six-part miniseries.
Capone, best known as Frenchie on "The Boys" and also played Boaz on "Fauda," plays one of Dassy's potential partners, while "McMafia" actor Oshri Cohen plays a different role.
