Tony Pankhurst, curator of the Dark Pictures Anthology, has died at the age of 67
Pankhurst was the physical likeness for the narrator character of the horror game series from the makers of Until Dawn. Pip Torrens provided the motion capture and voice work for the character. Pankhurst got to play the character in live-action in the trailer for the third installment in the series, House of Ashes.
Supermassive Games took to social media to publicly pay their respects to the actor, writing: "We are all saddened to hear of Tony Pankhurst's passing. He was the face of The Curator and we loved working with him."
The Curator has hosted each installment of the Dark Pictures series, speaking with players about the fates they gave characters in the stories. He has appeared in all four games so far: Man of Medan, Little Hope, House of Ashes, and The Devil in Me. A new set of games is coming in the future, starting with the sci-fi horror Directive 8020.
