The difference between asset management and wealth management
For the first time at Zurich Summit, a host of investors joined a panel to share what they’re looking for when it comes to film financing. AC Independent head Nick Shumaker, producer Marie-Christine Jaeger-Firmenich, Tango Entertainment director Lia Buman and Sovereign Media Capital CEO Andreas Roald were all seated for an extensive panel to assess investments and what an ideal ROI looks like for them.
Shumaker told delegates that Anonymous Content “historically, over the last 20 years, has been very focused on director-driven content. When we shifted to investing capital in films about three years ago, we had a nice foundation to use the relationships that we’ve historically had with directors and producers to try to find investments that helped.”
“On the nonfiction side, we do the same thing, and that market has changed significantly over the last three years. On the narrative side, our focus is very much on European co-productions and working with our partners in Europe to find ways to work with them to get more money on screen.”
