“Transformers One” from Paramount Animation and Hasbro Entertainment is the first film to be released for Barco’s new “HDR By Barco” laser projectors. It kicks off a pre-release program for the Belgian cinema technology developer’s new HDR-capable premium line of theater systems.

In partnership with AMC Theatres, B&B Theatres and Regal Cinemas, a specially graded and mastered version of “Transformers One” will be screened in five newly designed HDR By Barco theaters beginning September 20th when the film opens across the U.S. Venues include AMC Americana at Brand 18 in Glendale; AMC Barrywoods 24 in Kansas City; B&B Theatres Red Oak 12 in Dallas; Regal Dania Pointe, Miami-Ft. Lauderdale; and Regal Times Square in New York.

The program (first announced with the projector’s reveal at CinemaCon in April) will run through the end of the year, leading up to the commercial launch of HDR By Barco in 2025, with additional titles still to be announced for the program.
