To the delight of Sistas fans, the series has not been cancelled and is officially getting an eighth season.
Rumors of the renewal first began to take shape in April 2024 following the release of a Deadline report. According to their statement, Tyler Perry had reportedly extended his current deal with Paramount’s BET Media. The deal allowed Perry to create a wealth of new entries for existing and new shows on BET and BET Plus. In the agreed-upon renewal, his long-running Sistas series was also renewed for an eighth installment instead of being canceled.
