Director DAVID GUTNIK & War in Ukraine | RULE OF TWO WALLS – Q&A | Film Independent presents
EXCLUSIVE: Monument Releasing announced Friday that it has acquired the rights to Rule of Two Walls, “a visceral and vital portrait of contemporary Ukraine through the lens of artists.”
The documentary, directed by David Gutnik and executive produced by actor Liev Schreiber, premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Festival, where it won a Special Jury Mention for Human Rights and Artistic Expression. Jurors praised the film “for embedding us with a group of artists who refused to lose their heritage and cultural expression.”
Monument Releasing plans to release the film in theaters in New York on August 16, followed by additional locations in the U.S. and abroad (the acquisition deal includes the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Ireland, Australia and New Zealand). Rule of Two Walls will premiere on SVOD platforms on November 12.
