EXCLUSIVE: Lee Majdoub (Sonic The Hedgehog 2) has joined the cast of Prime Video’s Upload for the fourth and final season in a recurring role. Details are being kept under wraps. Blending sci-fi and romantic comedy, Upload is set in a technologically advanced future where holographic phones, self-driving vehicles, AI assistance, and 3D food printers are the norm. And instead of dying, people can be “uploaded” to a virtual reality afterlife, enjoying all the amenities of a world-class resort in a prime location like Lakeview — provided they can afford it. The show, produced by Amazon MGM Studios and created and executive produced by Greg Daniels, stars Robbie Amell and Andy Allo. Majdoub most recently reprised his Agent Stone character in Sonic The Hedgehog 2 and recently wrapped production on Sonic The Hedgehog 3. He is repped by Alan Siegel Entertainment and Red Management.
EXCLUSIVE: Tomaso Sanelli (Longing) has been confirmed for a major recurring role in Benito Skinner’s Amazon comedy series Overcompensating. An ensemble comedy set in college and based on his life, Overcompensating follows the wild, chaotic journey of Benny (Skinner), a closeted former football player and homecoming king who quickly befriends Carmen, a high school outsider desperate to fit in. With guidance from Benny’s older sister and her legendary campus boyfriend, Benny and Carmen juggle terrible flings, flavored vodka, and fake IDs. Deeply funny and personal, the show explores the lengths we’ll go to overcompensate as we work toward figuring out who we really are. Sanelli plays Trent, a cute freshman jock who isn’t all that interested in schoolwork. Trent immediately sees Carmen as the kind of girl he can use to help him get his homework done. Sanelli can currently be seen in the Lionsgate film Longing opposite Richard Gere, and previously starred in the Sony film Thanksgiving directed by Eli Roth. He is represented by Noble Caplan Abrams and Vault Entertainment.
