The awards ceremony is hosted by Kenny Burns to honor artists, executives and activists "who are critical changemakers in advocating for racial equity and social justice within their communities, and who use their platforms and resources to have a positive impact on society," according to BMAC.
Usher, who will receive the Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award, and LL Cool J, who will receive the Clarence Avant Trailblazer Award, will both attend the event on September 19 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
"It's an honor to receive this award from an organization that's making such huge strides for racial equity and justice in the music industry," added LL Cool J. "Clarence Avant was a true legend. He and I were both inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame that same year and he was a father figure to me, so it's a full circle moment and it feels really special."
