This Episode Sounds Profitable! A Deep Dive with Bryan Barletta – The Global Discussion
Myers joins Sounds Profitable after serving as executive director of business development and podcasts for talent agency UTA. Myers’ hiring is aimed at helping clients “explore untapped opportunities that extend audio into adjacent verticals such as film and TV, books, gaming, nonprofits and emerging technologies.”
“Podcasting is now an unavoidable word in media. It’s endured two decades of open growth, a pandemic-induced boom and bust, more than its fair share of ‘SNL’ jokes at its expense, but ultimately it’s proven how valuable it is globally as a form of entertainment and information,” Barletta said. “Adding Kristin to the Sounds Profitable team adds immense value to our existing partners while also amplifying what we’ve built over the last four years for major industries that fully recognize that audio and podcasting must be part of their plan.”
Myers has an extensive background in audio content, having worked at Stitcher, startup Anchor (acquired by Spotify in 2019), and as creative director for Dan Harmon's Starburns Audio.
