Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the film stars John Abraham in the lead role, alongside Sharvari, Tamannaah Bhatia and Abhishek Banerjee. Vedaa marks another collaboration between the director and the lead actor after the success of Batla House.
The official synopsis of Vedaa reads: "Vedaa is a story of courage, of the power of one. It is the story of a man who found himself in helping Vedaa find justice."
Recent reports confirm that CBFC has granted a U/A certificate to Vedaa, albeit with significant changes. Notably, CBFC has trimmed over nine minutes of footage from the film. Moreover, CBFC advised filmmakers to modify a disclaimer of one minute and sixteen seconds, including adding a voice-over. Moreover, certain offensive words targeting women and social identity have been replaced with less controversial terms.
