San Sebastian International Cinema Festival: enjoy the glamour of the stars!
Acclaimed Argentine filmmaker Victoria Galardi returns to the San Sebastian Film Festival with her latest film in development, “The Hedgehogs” (“Los Erizos”), which will take part in the co-production forum of the leading Spanish film event.
Her 2010 dramedy “Cerro Bayo” premiered in San Sebastian and won the TVE-Otra Mirada Award. In 2008, “Lovely Loneliness,” which Galardi co-directed with Martin Carranza, competed for a hefty prize in the festival’s Zabaltegi New Directors section and won a Youth Jury Award. Her 2013 film “I Thought it was a Party” was nominated by the Argentine Academy for best editing, best cinematography and best production design.
Co-written by Galardi and Fabian Casas, “The Hedgehogs” centers on a couple who decide to split after ten years of marriage. To break the news to their young son, they plan a final family trip to the ocean. They arrive at a seaside town in the off-season, greeted by the caretaker, his dog Rita and a couple who rekindle a lost youthful connection.
