Vice President Sara Duterte has apparently not received broad support for her sharp criticism of the Marcos government. An analysis of online messages shows that 4 in 10 internet users reacted negatively to her statements.

Results of an online sentiment analysis by EthOS, a human insights platform, showed that 33% wanted Duterte to step down, shortly after she released a statement on August 10 saying Filipinos deserved a better government.
Another 30% were critical of the vice president, while 26% said Filipinos deserve a better vice president. Only 7% supported Duterte's statements.
EthOS's data was collected from a scan of 14 links in Duterte's statements. These links had been viewed more than 39,000 times and interacted with each other.
