The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has selected Emmy and Peabody Award-winning stand-up comedian W. Kamau Bell to host the 45th Annual Documentary Emmy Awards on September 26.
Last year, Bell won a Children's & Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Nonfiction Program for "1000% Me: The Growing Up Mixed."
“When we met Kamau at the Children’s and Family Emmys with his daughters Samaiyah and Juno, we knew he would be an engaging and entertaining host,” said Adam Sharp, President and CEO of NATAS. “His sensitivity and expertise are a perfect fit for the documentary community.”
