WSJ Reporter Evan Gershkovich Released From Russian Prison: A Timeline | WSJ
UPDATE: The Wall Street Journal's Evan Gershkovich and two other Americans being held by Russia landed on U.S. soil Thursday night and were greeted by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris at Joint Base Andrews.
After hugging first Harris and then Biden, Gershkovich gave his mother, Ella Milman, a big hug and picked her up.
Also arriving were Alsu Kurmasheva and Paul Whelan, two other Americans who were part of a complex prisoner swap with Russia. Biden gave Whelan his American flag lapel pin.
