Warren Littlefield, producer of Fargo and The Handmaid's Tale, predicts the turmoil in the global television industry will continue for another two years.
The former president of NBC Entertainment commented on how to survive as an indie producer during an interview at the Edinburgh TV Festival, suggesting that many expect the current downturn in commissions to be over sooner than it actually is.
“The problem now is that there’s less stuff being made,” he said. “A lot of people are saying, ‘Stay alive until ’25.’ I think we’re probably two years away from getting through this particular challenging time — two years away from seeing the end of the tunnel.”
