THUS DIED KING VON.. (THE TRUTH COMES TO LIGHT)
On November 6, 2020, unknown assailants shot and killed aspiring rapper King Von in a parking lot outside an Atlanta lounge. According to reports, the investigation was launched after the shooting, as police officers had also fired their weapons. In addition, two other people were killed in the shooting that began after an altercation between two groups. During the investigation, law enforcement discovered that the rapper was part of a gang that had been active in Atlanta for some time.
According to The New York Times, two groups began arguing outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta. The newspaper reported that the altercation began around 3:20 a.m. and led to gunfire. As soon as the shooting occurred, two police officers confronted both groups and opened fire. The publication cited authorities as saying that King Von and two other people were taken to the hospital in private vehicles. Authorities also revealed that the rapper died in the initial shooting that occurred between the groups.
Nearly a week later, a report in the Chicago Sun-Times alleged that King Von belonged to the O Block faction of Black Disciples. Black Disciples, founded in 1966, gained attention for illegal activities such as drug trafficking and gambling.
