WE LIVE IN TIME Official Trailer (2024)
Directed by John Crowley (The Goldfinch) from a screenplay by Nick Payne (The Last Letter from Your Lover), We Live in Time tells the story of the relationship between Tobias (Andrew Garfield), a sales rep, and Almut (Florence Pugh), a chef. Jonathan Sim of ComingSoon praised the film as "a beautiful story that feels real, absurd in all the right ways, and filled with grounded, heartbreaking performances."
Glenn Whipp of the Los Angeles Times wrote: "It's cute. And it's so easy to be taken with these two warm, self-assured actors that the first hour of We Live in Time flies by, a procession of encounters, heated arguments, passionate sex, sad faces, chocolate-chip cookies balanced on Alma's pregnant belly in the bathtub and candles — so many candles."
Michael Rechtshaffen of The Hollywood Reporter noted, "While We Live in Time and its subject matter may not be as big a success as Crowley's Oscar-nominated Brooklyn, rarely has such an unflinchingly honest look at mortality felt so transcendently life-affirming."
