During an October 11 episode of The Breakfast Club podcast, Cannon recounted his first encounter with a “Diddy party” as a teenager. He recalled trying to get into one in New York City when he was about 16 or 17 years old. Describing the atmosphere, Cannon noted, “[I] remember standing outside trying to get into a Puff party here in New York” and said that attendees often didn’t talk openly about it. He said, “Everyone’s afraid to talk because they’re probably hiding something.”
